Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market
turnover while the sector index was down by 0.54%.

Focus: Bourse closed on a negative note amid the positive earnings and
dividend announcements by counters. ASPI declined marginally while
S&P SL20 declined by 13 points due to negative price movement in blue
chip counters such as COMB, DIST,JKH and LOLC. Turnover further
declined to LKR 763 Mn compared with the previous trading day. COCR
became the highest contributor to the today's turnover recording a single
crossing at LKR 72 with price closed at LKR 70.40 gaining 3.53%. Foreign
investors were net buyers after three consecutive days of net foreign
outflow while foreign holding of COCR and ALUF increased by 982,549
and 165,690 shares.
