LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 31 August 2015

Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 44 points and S&P SL20 was down by 23 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 517 Mn while big cap counters such as JKH, CTC and HHL led the decline. COMB became the highest contributor to the turnover contributing LKR 97.7 Mn to the turnover while counter gained by LKR 0.50 to close at LKR 174. No crossings were recorded for the day. Foreign investors were net buyers after several sessions of net foreign outflows while today's foreign buying was seen in COMB and TJL. Meanwhile ASPI started the day at 7355 level and showed a declining trend to close operations at 7307 level.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.39%.

§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 30 Mn.
