Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market
turnover while the sector index was down by 0.17%.

Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign
outflows amounted to LKR 371 Mn.

Focus: Indices remained negative, amid the active trading seen in the
market. Turnover was reported at LKR 1.18 Bn, improved compared with
yesterday. COMB became the highest contributor to the turnover,
recording two crossings at LKR 165, with price closed flat at LKR 165.20.
Foreign investors closed the day as net sellers while foreign stake of
COMB declined by 1,959,953 shares. Meanwhile TJL announced that, a
purchase price of USD 3.5 Mn has been agreed upon for the acquisition of
Quensby Lanka Prints while the valuations and negotiations for Ocean
India (pvt) Ltd are currently underway.
