Focus: Indices closed on a negative note while a volatile movement was during the day. ASPI closed 8 points lower due to negative price movements mainly in HHL, BREW and DIST. COMB became the highest contributor to the turnover recording four crossings at LKR 164. NDB, the second highest contributor to the turnover recorded three crossings at LKR 275. Total crossings represented 28% of the turnover. Meanwhile individual investor interest was witnessed in SEYB.X and LWL with prices appreciated by 1.13% and 2.83% to close at LKR 80.80 and LKR 119.90. Foreign investors continued to be on selling side with foreign stake of COMB and JKH declined by 1,611,377 shares and 678,385 shares.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.31%

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 452 Mn.
