Focus: ASPI and S&P SL20 posted marginal gains to close the day in green. Turnover reported at LKR 2.1 Bn with JKH being the highest contributor to the turnover. Five crossings were recorded in JKH at LKR 194 contributing LKR 963 Mn to the turnover while other crossings were recorded in CSF, NEST and NTB. Total crossings represented 63% of the turnover. Foreign investors were net sellers recording a net foreign outflow of LKR 787 Mn while foreign stake of JKH declined by 5,079,851 shares while foreign stake of CSF increased by 42,422,482 shares. Meanwhile NDB announced that debenture issue has been oversubscribed receiving applications over LKR 10 Bn.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 0.12%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 787 Mn.
