Focus: Market closed the day on a green note while continuing the positive momentum for the fourth consecutive day. ASPI gained 24 points with SLTL contributed 12.32 points to move the index up. Turnover recorded at LKR 367 Mn with which is low compared with the previous day. JKH became the highest contributor to the turnover contributing LKR 80 Mn with price closed flat at LKR 183.00. Meanwhile Fitch downgraded the ratings of SLFL's National Long- Term Rating to 'A-(lka) from 'A(lka). The outlook is stable. Further VLL announced that it will issue new shares by way of capitalization of reserves and accordingly 238.6 Mn new shares will be issued at 1:2 proportion.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 0.17%.

§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 36 Mn.
