LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 1 September 2015

Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 8 points and S&P SL20 was down by 19 points. Negative trend in the market continued to record a turnover worth of LKR 732 Mn while DFCC, COMB and JKH led the decline in the main index. CHOT highest contributor to the turnover recorded a crossing at LKR 30 while contributing total of LKR 300 Mn to the market turnover. JINS became the second highest contributor with price gained by LKR 0.60 to close at LKR 19.80. Foreign investors turned to be net sellers with the fear of declining china led emerging markets. Today's net foreign outflow amounted to LKR 97Mn with net foreign selling mainly seen in KAHA and LGL. Meanwhile ASPI started the day at 7307 level and showed a declining trend to close operations at 7299 level.

§ Hotels and Travels sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.12%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 97 Mn.
