Sri Lankan banking sector has been resilient over the years growing steadily,
strengthening the asset base even in midst of adverse economic environments.
With the end of civil conflict in 2009, the sector prospects improved considerably
and listed banks ranging from large (COMB, HNB & SAMP), medium (SEYB, NDB,
& NTB) and small (PABC & UBC)note scale banks have shown increased
profitability
