Colombo bourse snapped the seven day winning streak on Monday to start the weekly operations on negative note. The market lost the positive momentum gained in last week as the bench mark All share price index weakened by 14.10 points or 0.20% to end at 7,147.86 whilst S&P SL 20 index marginally declined by 6.23 points (-0.16%) to end at 4,007.52. Daily market turnover was LKR 647mn. Further John Keells Holdings led the turnover list with LKR 182mn followed by Hatton National Bank non-voting (LKR 74mn), First Capital Holdings (LKR 42mn) and Grain Elevators (LKR 40mn). Lanka IOC was the top trader during the session subsequent to the news article regarding the commencement of bunkering operations at Trincomalee oil terminal. Foreign investors continued to be net sellers for the fourth consecutive day with net foreign outflow of LKR 232mn. Foreign participation was 22%.
