Focus: During the day, ASPI was up by 30 points and S&P SL20 was up by 16 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 1.2 Bn with counters SLT, CTHR and LION contributing most, adding 14.71 points to uplift the main index. Poultry producers BFL and GRAN were active recording highest turnover for the day. Counters gained momentum recording price appreciations of 10% and 4% respectively. Foreign investors were net buyers albeit low participation during the shortened trading session on the country's parliament election day.

§ Manufacturing sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 0.76%.

§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 5 Mn.
