Focus: APSI and S&P SL20 closed 35 and 34 points lower respectively with price declines in blue chip counters such as CTC, JKH, LION and DIAL lead the losses . However turnover reported above LKR 1 Bn for the fourth consecutive day, with COMB being the highest contributor to the today's turnover. Crossings took place pertaining to COMB, NDB and HNB contributed 10% to the turnover. Meanwhile DVBD and SINS announced that their LKR 5 Bn and LKR 3 Bn debenture issues have been oversubscribed. Foreign investors recorded a net foreign outflow of LKR 189 Mn with foreign holding of COMB and JKH declined by 754,318 and 418,430 shares.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 0.04%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 189 Mn.
