LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 2015

Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 4 points and S&P SL20 was down by 4 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 747 Mn while counters such as JKH, NEST and LOLC dragged the main index by 8.76 points. JKH became the highest contributor to the turnover while recording three crossings for the day and contributing total of LKR 141.5 Mn to the market turnover. HNB also recorded a crossing for the day while total crossings represented 21% of the market turnover. Foreign investors turned to be net buyers with a net foreign inflow of LKR 156 Mn while foreign purchases were mainly seen in DIST. Foreign selling was seen in HNB. Meanwhile reflecting the negative sentiment losers surpassed gainers 98 to 59. ASPI started the day at 7120 level and showed a flat trend to close at 7115 level.

§ Beverage Food & Tobacco sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.06%.

§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 156 Mn.
