Focus: During the day, ASPI was up by 81 points and S&P SL20 was up by 50 points. Market continued the positive momentum recording a turnover worth of LKR 2.6 Bn with big cap counters such as JKH, DIST and SLTL contributed 20.33 points to lift main the index up. COMB.X became the highest contributor to the turnover while also recording a single crossing at LKR 136 and contributing total of LKR 348.8 Mn to the market turnover. AEL, TKYO.X, HHL and COMB also recorded crossings while total crossings contributed 30% to the turnover. Foreign investors remained as net sellers recording a net foreign outflow of LKR 296 Mn with net foreign selling was mainly seen in COMB.X, COMB and TKYO.X, LLUB and HHL. Meanwhile LGL announced that Laugfs Terminal Limited which will be operated as a fully owned subsidiary of LGL has entered into a business venture and lease agreement with the SL port Authority to lease a land to set up a LPG Storage Terminal Project.
§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 1.37%.
§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 296 Mn.
