Focus: During the day, ASPI was up by 7 points and S&P SL20 was down by 7 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 1.5 Bn with counters such as CARG, AHPL and CCS contributed 11.58 points to uplift the main index. NTB became the highest contributor to the turnover while recording three crossing at LKR 105 and contributing total of LKR 209.2 Mn to the market turnover. Further CDB, COMB, DIAL and DIST recorded crossings while total crossings represented 33% of the market turnover. Foreign investors were net sellers recording a net foreign outflow of LKR 150 Mn with net foreign selling was mainly seen in DIAL and COMB. Meanwhile ASPI started the day at 7501 level and showed a flat trend to end the market operations close to 7500 level.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.13%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 150 Mn.
