Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 49 points and S&P SL20 was down by 27 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 1.2 Bn while counters such as counters such as DIAL, CTC and JINS led the decline in the main index. DIST became the highest contributor to the turnover while recording two crossings at LKR 300 and contributing total of LKR 319 Mn to the market turnover. Further CFIN recorded a crossing for the day while total crossings represented only 8% of the market turnover. Foreign investors turned to be net buyers recording a net foreign inflow of LKR 132 Mn with net foreign buying mainly seen in DIST and SAMP. Foreign selling was seen in HNB and LIOC. Meanwhile ASPI started the day at 7498 level and showed a declining trend to close the operations at 7450 level.

§ Beverage Food & Tobacco sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.53%.

§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 132 Mn.
