The Colombo bourse suffered with yet another drop today diving further away from the 7,200 boarder, whilst dipping in to the risky negative region. Today’s negative closure marked the 3 rd consecutive day of losses where it lost 106.25 points or 1. 5%. The market trended downwards from its early hours falling to intraday low of 7 ,133 .57 losing 61.62 points or 0.86%, mainly owing to losses in heavy weighted counters such as COMB (-1.10%), SLTL (-2.13%), and LOLC (-3.28%) etc. Following a similar trading pattern the S&P SL20 lost another 25.15 points or 0.63%, to close the day at 3,961.02. With regard to the movement in share prices, 134 counters witnessed drops whereas only 55 companies posted gains.
