LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 22 June 2015

Focus: Indices closed with slight gains today owing to positive price movements in index heavy counters such as NEST, JKH and LOLC. However turnover reported at LKR 488 Mn comparatively low with the previous trading day. DFCC being the highest contributor to the turnover for the third consecutive day closed price of the counter at LKR 200 with a slight reduction of LKR 0.10. Crossings took place in DFCC represented 19% of the turnover. Meanwhile CSE announced that Dr. Senthilverl purchased 457,301 shares of watawala plantations on 19th June 2015 with the price range of LKR 22.50-LKR 23.00 and thus reaching the total holding of 23,788,134 shares.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.17%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 52 Mn.
