LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 09 June 2015

Focus: Indices closed in red with losses, while the activity levels dried up as the uncertainty continued in relation to political climate in the economy. CTC, NEST and CINS were the main counters which drag the main index down by 21.10 points. Turnover reported at LKR 328 Mn lower compared with the previous trading day with no crossings recorded for the day. SAMP became the highest contributor to the turnover with price closed at LKR 258.90 with a decline of 0.19%. Retail investor interest was witnessed in LIOC, REG and LHCL with prices up by 0.66%, 1.56% and 2.87% to close at LKR 30.50, LKR 130 and LKR 46.60 respectively.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.27%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 7 Mn.
