LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 01 June 2015

Focus: Market closed on a red note with losses were witnessed in both indices. S&P SL20 declined below 4000 mark, while negative price movements in the blue chip counters such as NEST,DIST and JKH mainly affected the decline. JKH being the top contributor to the turnover recorded a single crossing at LKR 194.70 with price of the counter closed at LKR 194.10 with a decline of 0.51%. Individual investor interest was witnessed in KCAB, ACL and EMER with prices increased by 8.60%, 1.01% and 16.35% to close at LKR 101, LKR 89.90 and LKR 12.10. Foreign investors were net buyers with a net foreign inflow of LKR 40 Mn while foreign purchases mainly seen in JKH, KCAB and SIRA.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.29%.

§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 40 Mn
