Focus: Negative sentiment in the market continued as index heavy stocks lead the decline in indices. JKH became the top contributor to the turnover, recording two crossings at LKR 192 and closing the final price at LKR 191 with a decline of 1.34%. Other crossings were recorded in PLC and SAMP with total crossings contributed 17% to the today's turnover. Foreign investors continued be net sellers with net foreign selling mainly seen in JKH and DIST. Meanwhile CFT announced that capital value of the investment property increased to LKR 1.8 Bn and a fair value gain of LKR 714 Mn has been recorded as a result of the revaluation.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.36%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 53 Mn.
