NDB Securities Daily market Update 3rd August 2015

Indices closed on a mixed note for the day whilst turnover crossed Rs 982 Mn. High net worth and institutional investor participation was witnessed in Commercial Bank, Laugfs Gas nonvoting and Lanka Century Investments. Mixed interest was observed in John Keells Holdings, Royal Ceramics and Union Bank whilst retail interest was noted in Pan Asia Banking Corporation, LB Finance and Lanka Walltiles. Meanwhile, foreigners closed as net sellers mainly due to foreign selling in Commercial Bank and Lanka Century Investments.

Banks, Finance and Insurance sector was the top contributor to the market turnover (due to Commercial Bank) whilst the sector index gained 0.41%. The share price of Commercial Bank gained Rs 0.10 (0.06%) closing at Rs 171.10 whilst foreign holdings
decreased by 440,680 shares
