LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 13 August 2015

Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 29 points and S&P SL20 was down by 25 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 979.3 Mn with big cap counters such as DIAL, DFCC and JKH led the decline in the main index. GREG became the highest contributor to the turnover while recording two crossing at LKR 13.70 and contributing total of LKR 133 Mn to the market turnover. Further JKH recorded two crossings at LKR 190 while total crossings of the day represented 19% of the market turnover. Foreign investors continued to be net sellers recording a net foreign outflow worth of LKR 24 Mn with foreign selling mainly seen in JKH . Today's foreign buying was seen in GREG, LIOC and SAMP. Meanwhile ASPI started the day at 7475 level and showed a slight declining trend to end the market operations at 7440 level.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.73%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 24 Mn.
