Focus: Market closed on a positive note with main index gaining 24 points to close above 7000 level. TJL became the highest contributor to the turnover while also recording fifteen crossings at LKR 26.80 and contributing LKR 1.9 Bn to the turnover. SEYB also recorded a single crossing at LKR 100 while total crossings of the day represented 78% of the turnover. Retail investor interest was witnessed in PMB, CITW and SEYB.X with prices appreciated by 1.87%,35.85% and 1.12% to close at LKR 27.30, LKR 7.20 and LKR 72.00. Following the sub division of shares and dealing suspension for three days JKH started trading today while the counter closed at LKR 182.30.

§ Manufacturing sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 0.36%.%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 430 Mn.
