LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 6 July 2015

Focus: Market started the week on a negative note with benchmark ASPI dropped below 7000 level reflecting the weak investor sentiment. Turnover was reported at LKR 453 Mn low compared with the previous trading day. JKH being the highest contributor to the turnover recorded two crossings at LKR 182.70 while price closed at LKR 182.10 with a slight decline. LGL and AEL were among heavily traded counters with prices increased by 1.30% and 2.51% to close at LKR 39.00 and LKR 24.50. Meanwhile PLC and People's Bank announced that they jointly acquired a total of 6,461,543 shares at a price of LKR 22 per share representing 9.57% of the voting rights in PMB.

§ Diversified Holdings sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.25%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 89 Mn.
