Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 6 points and S&P SL20 was down by 10 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 474 Mn with counters such as DIAL, COMB and LLUB mainly dragged the performance of ASPI. DIAL became the highest contributor to the turnover while also recording three crossings at LKR 11.20 and contributing total of 96 Mn to the market turnover. Further TKYO and LHL recorded crossings for the day with total crossings represented 29% of the market turnover. Foreign investors closed the day as net sellers with a net foreign outflow of LKR 87Mn. Today net foreign selling was mainly seen in DIAL and LLUB. ASPI started the day at 7160 level and showed upward momentum during middle of the day, however eventually closed with a decline up to 7150 level. JKH has acquired a controlling stake in Rajawella Holdings Limited through an investment of LKR 1,044 mn.
§ Manufacturing sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.36%.
