LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 10 September 2015

Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 23 points and S&P SL20 was down by 12 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 588 Mn with counters such as DIAL, LION and SLTL dragged the main index by 10.43 points. DIAL became the highest contributor to the turnover while also recording two crossings at LKR 11.20 and contributing total of 112 Mn to the market turnover. Further TKYO.X , TKYO and DIST recorded crossings for the day with total crossings represented 43% of the market turnover. Foreign investors closed the day as net sellers with net foreign selling was mainly seen in DIAL. Today's net foreign buying was seen in DIST. Meanwhile ASPI started the day at 7187 level and showed a declining trend to close the daily operations at 7160 level. Further reflecting the negative sentiment of the market losers surpassed gainers 97 to 44.

§ Telecommunications sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 1.61%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 18 Mn.
