Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 10 points and S&P SL20 was down by 4 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 613 Mn with big cap counters such as CARS, DIAL and HHL dragged the index by 6.12 points. COMB became the highest contributor to the turnover while also recording a crossing at LKR 168 with counter declined slightly to close at LKR 167.90. CFIN also recorded a crossing for the day with total crossings represented 10% of the market turnover. Foreign investors turned to be net sellers recording a net foreign outflow of LKR 12 Mn with today's net foreign selling mainly seen in COMB and HNB. Reflecting the uncertain sentiment losers surpassed gainers 88 to 71. Meanwhile First Capital Treasuries Limited has been assigned with the issuer rating of "[SL] A-" and the company's debentures with the rating of "[SL] BBB+" by ICRA Lanka Limited.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.08%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 12 Mn.
