Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 15 points and S&P SL20 was down by 15 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 771 Mn with counters such LOLC, COMB and PLC dragged the main index by 15.61 points. TYRE became the highest contributor to the turnover while also recording a single crossing at LKR 82 and contributing total of LKR 119 Mn to the market turnover. HNB.X and CDB also recorded crossings for the day with total crossings represented 34% of the market turnover. Foreign investors were net buyers with today's net foreign buying seen in SAMP. Meanwhile DIAL announced that Digital Holdings Lanka Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary of DIAL acquired 740,000 shares of Digital Commerce Lanka Private Limited. Further BOC announced an issue of 50 Mn unsecured, subordinated, redeemable debentures at an issue price of LKR 100 each with an option to issue up to a further 30 Mn of the said debentures in the event of an oversubscription of the initial 50 Mn debentures.
§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.99%.
§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 47 Mn.
