Focus: During the day, ASPI was up by 7 points and S&P SL20 was down by 11 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 816 Mn with big cap counters such as NEST, SLTL and HHL contributed 18.68 points to lift the main index up. TJL became the highest contributor to the turnover while recording a single crossing at LKR 31.50 and contributing total of LKR 168.8 Mn to the market turnover. Further HNB, JKH and COMB.X recorded crossings for the day with total crossings contributed 42% to the market turnover. Foreign investors became net buyers with a net foreign inflow of LKR 41 Mn while net foreign buying mainly seen in HNB. Foreign selling was seen in AEL, JKH and COMB.X. Meanwhile ASPI started the day at 7083 level and showed a fluctuating trend to close at 7085 level.

§ Manufacturing sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.48%.

§ Foreign investors were in a buying sentiment, while the net foreign inflows amounted to LKR 41 Mn.
