Focus: During the day, ASPI was up by 5 points and S&P SL20 was down by 1 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 566 Mn while CTC, SPEN and AHPL contributed positively to uplift the main index. COMB became the highest contributor to the turnover while also recording a crossing at LKR 170 and contributing total of LKR 156 Mn to the market turnover. ASIR and HNB recorded crossings for the day while total crossings represented 32% of the market turnover. Foreign investors continued to be on selling side with a net foreign outflow of LKR 197 Mn with net foreign selling mainly seen in COMB, JKH, SAMP and HNB. Foreign inflow was seen in ASIR. Meanwhile CSE announced that Mr. R.P.A Pathirana, a director of CHC investment (pvt) Ltd purchased further 500,000 shares of TAP at a price of LKR 5.30 per share and accordingly C.H.C Investments with relevant parties hold 31.36% of TAP.
§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.15%.
§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 197 Mn.
