Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 6 points and S&P SL20 was up by 1 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 529 Mn while counters such as JKH, AHPL and CTHR dragged the main index by 6.91 points. JKH became the highest contributor to the turnover list while contributing 180.6 Mn to the market turnover with price declined by LKR 1.00 to close at LKR 172.30. No crossings were recorded for the day. Foreign investors closed the day as net sellers recording a net foreign outflow of LKR 47 Mn with today's net foreign selling mainly seen in COMB. Reflecting the lackluster sentiment in the market losers surpassed the gainers 83 to 64. Meanwhile CSE announced that COMB is planning to set up a banking subsidiary in the Republic of Maldives , in partnership with a leading Maldivian Group of Companies involved in business areas of financial services, Hotels & Tourism and Retailing. COMB intends to invests 55%.

§ Diversified Holdings sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.41%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 47 Mn.
