Focus: During the day, ASPI was down by 32 points and S&P SL20 was down by 18 points. Market recorded a turnover worth of LKR 1.8 Bn, the highest nearly in four weeks time due to hefty crossings while SLTL, HHL and JKH led the main index down by 13.17 points. COMB became the highest contributor to the turnover while recording ten crossings and contributing total of LKR 623 Mn to the market turnover. Further JKH, SPEN and TKYO.X also recorded crossings for the day with total crossings contributed 69% to the turnover. Foreign investors turned to be net sellers with a net foreign outflow of LKR 631 Mn with today's net foreign selling mainly seen in SPEN and COMB. Foreign buying was seen in TKYO.X and JKH. Losers surpassed gainers 104 to 57. Meanwhile KAPI informed applications over LKR 3 Bn for its Debenture issue has been received and accordingly the issue to be oversubscribed.

§ Diversified Holdings sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.62%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 631 Mn.
