LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 24 June 2015

Focus: Bourse closed on a negative note today with main index declined marginally by 0.13 points and S&P SL20 declined by 11.06 points due to negative price movements in index heavy counters such as DIAL, JKH and LOLC. Turnover declined to LKR 606 Mn from LKR 810 Mn reported in the previous trading day. SAMP became the highest contributor to the turnover recording a single crossings at LKR 260 while price of the counter closed at LKR 259.80. Retail investor interest witnessed in JKHW22 and HPFL with prices appreciated by 1.33% and 9.09% to close at LKR 22.80 and LKR 8.40. Foreign investors closed the day as net sellers with foreign selling mainly witnessed in DIST, DIAL and JKHW22.

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was down by 0.16%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 65 Mn.
