Focus: During the day, ASPI was up by 56 points and S&P SL20 was up by 10 points. Market reached LKR 2.36 Bn turnover and closed the daily operations in the positive side while COCR, CARS, CARG and LION being the main contributors to this upward index performance. JKH topped the turnover list while recording three crossings and contributing LKR 335 Mn to the turnover. 13 crossings were recorded during the day while total crossings represented 30% of the market turnover. Foreign investors continued to be on selling side recording a net foreign outflow of LKR 539 Mn with net foreign selling was mainly seen in JKH, LIOC, DIST and DIAL. Foreign buying was mainly seen in SHL. ASPI started the day at 7316 level and continued to show an upward direction throughout the day to close at 7366. Meanwhile CSE announced that Muvumbe Hydro Ltd, a subsidiary of Vidullanka PLC has entered in to an power purchasing agreement on 28th July 2015 with Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd.
§ Diversified Holdings sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 0.78%.
§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 539 Mn.
