LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 16 July 2015

Focus: Upward trend in indices continued to close the market on a green note for the sixth consecutive day. Turnover recorded at 1.56 Bn high compared with the previous trading day. JKH highest contributor to the turnover recorded two crossings at LKR 183 while contributing LKR 433 Mn in total to the market turnover. COMB, HNB and SAMP also recorded crossings with total crossings represented 39% of the market turnover. Foreign investors continued to be net sellers with net foreign selling mainly seen in JKH and HNB. Meanwhile CITH announced that Board resolved to borrow a sum of LKR 480 Mn from Sampath Bank .

§ Bank Finance & Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 1.27%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 110 Mn.
