LOLC Securities Market Watch: Daily 20 July 2015

Focus: Bourse closed on a positive note for the seventh consecutive day while main index recorded a gain of 37 points. DIAL, LOLC and NDB together contributed 15.93 points to move the index up. SPEN led the turnover list while also recording four crossings and contributing LKR 738 Mn to the turnover. CTC and JKH also recorded crossings for the day while total crossings represented 59% of the market turnover. Investor interest was witnessed in SDB, TKYO and DIAL with prices appreciated by 1.40%, 0.79% and 3.67% to close at LKR 151.60, LKR 51.30 and LKR 11.30 respectively. Foreign investors continued to be net sellers while foreign selling was mainly seen in SPEN and CTC.

§ Diversified Holdings sector contributed mostly to the market turnover while the sector index was up by 0.37%.

§ Foreign investors were in a selling sentiment, while the net foreign outflows amounted to LKR 907 Mn.
